Notice of Confirmation of an Order Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map
and Statement Modification Order
Highways Act 1980, wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council, Baulking Bridleway No. 7 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022
On 13th June 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:-
Baulking BR 7 running from OS Grid Ref SU 3374 9142 north-eastwards for 32m to Oldfield Farm at OS Grid Ref SU 3377 9143 and then south-westwards for 120m to OS Grid Ref 3384 9134 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SU 3374 9142 south-westwards for 100m to OS Grid Ref SU 3380 9133, continuing eastwards for 22m to OS Grid Ref SU 3382 9133 and then north-eastwards for 20m to OS Grid Ref SU 3384 9134 where it re-joins the unaffected length of BR 7, as shown on the Order map. The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph
2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 16th June 2022 make an application to the High Court.
