Temporary Traffic Order - Queens Park Road Scheme; Upper Park Place, Sussex Street, Richmond Street, Albion Hill, Brighton

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

(a) The following roads will be closed at their junction with Queens Park Road, only as and when the works on Queens Park Road affects that junction: Upper Park Place, Sussex Street, Richmond Street, Albion Hill (west).

(b) The Temporary closure of Albion Hill, Brighton, between Queens Park Road and West Drive, to through traffic, for the entire scheme.

2. The Order is necessary to allow Contractors to carry out a gas main replacement scheme.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

4. This Order comes into force on 27th June 2022 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 9th December 2022.
