Notice of Order, Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 Notice is hereby given that the Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to determine North Yorkshire County Council, Public Footpath 25.114/9 Back Lane, Wrelton, Definitive Map Modification Order 2012 will attend at Wrelton Village Hall, Wrelton, Pickering, North Yorkshire, Y018 8PG on Tuesday 26/07/22 at 10.00am To hear evidence in respect of the modified part of the Order & new evidence in respect of the unmodified part of the Order. The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to modify the definitive map & statement for the area by adding the public footpath 25.114/9 which commences at its junction with the maintainable highway known as Cropton Lane at SE7659 8624 the 4.2 metres wide path runs south west for approximately 55 metres between a dry stone wall to the east & a hedge to the west to SE7657 8619 where the path narrows to 3.7 metres wide & continues to run south west for approximately 19 metres between a dry stone wall to the east & a hedge to the west to SE7656 8617 where the path widens to 4.2 metres & continues to run generally south west for approximately 117 metres between a dry stone wall to the east & part hedge & part dry stone wall to the west to SE7651 8607 where, having crossed a stile, the path narrows to 2.4 metres & runs south between 2 dry stone walls for approximately 25 metres to SE7651 8604 where the path briefly narrows to 0.7 metres wide before continuing south as a 4 metres wide path along Holly Close for approximately 51 metres to its junction with the maintainable highway known as Cliff Road at SE7651 8599. The effect of the proposed modification(s) would be to modify the Order by providing for the following modifications:

In the Schedule to the Order, Part 1:
- Change a reference to "Footpath" to "Restricted Byway";

- Amend the reference to the marked route to add "& small arrowheads";

- Delete the reference to the route to be added to the definitive Map as "..a footpath, width 0.7-2.4m" & replace with "..a Restricted Byway, width 3.0-4.2m";

- In the description of the path, delete the words "..where, having crossed a stile, the path narrows to 2.4 metres & runs south between 2 dry stone walls for approximately 25 metres to Grid Reference 47651 48604 (Point E), where the path briefly narrows to 0.7 metres wide before.." & replace with "..then runs south with a width of 3.0 metres to Grid Reference

47651 48604 (Point E) before.." In the Schedule to the Order, Part 2, in the description of the path, delete the words "..where, having crossed a stile, the path runs south between 2 dry stone walls for approximately 25 metres to Grid Reference 47651 48604, where the path briefly narrows to 0.7 metres before.." & replace with "..then runs south with a width of 3.0 metres to Grid Reference 47651 48604 before..";
- Amend the width at Grid Reference

47651 48607 to 47651 48604 to 3.0 metres & at 47651 48604 to 3.0 metres;
- Delete the reference to the limitation of a stile.

- Amend the Order Map accordingly.
