Somerset County Council District of Sedgemoor Parish of East Huntspill Temporary Closure of New Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along New Road - from 163 metres from the junction with Church Road westwards for 13 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out connecting new mains from existing main to site. The Order becomes effective on 28th June 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 4th July 2022 and last until 8th July 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. Please visit
