The Borough Of Watford (Callowland, Watford) (Controlled Parking Zone Na Extension) Order 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part 6 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the above named Order.

2. The general effects of the Order are;

A. To extend the Watford Zone NA Permit Parking Area into the following roads; Ashby Road, Brighton Road, Diamond Road, Jubilee Road & Sussex Road.

B. The Permitted Hours of the Zone will be Monday to Saturday 8am-10am & 5pm-10pm.

C. A breakdown of the permit charges can be found below;

72  CPZ Special permit  not greater than £25 if first in household or £55 per permit if second.
81  Full-time CPZ Doctor and Health Visitor permit  £25 per permit for the first five for a Practice or Unit; £55 per permit for each additional permit
91  Full-time CPZ £100 per permit Staff permit  D. Visitor Permit (short stay) allowance of 395 hours per annum ((made up of 290 single hours, 8 x 1 days (7 hours a day) and 1 x 1 week (49 hours)).

E. All existing waiting restrictions within the zone extension area will be revoked and included within this Zone NA Extension Order.

F. Existing Keep Clear markings outside the park entrance in Ashby Road to be replaced by No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow line) restrictions.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
