SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: A) Footpath 9 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Ashley Road for approximately 262m to its junction Coldharbour Lane. B) Footpath 9 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Coldharbour Lane for approximately 108m in a north westerly direction. C) Footpath 50 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Nelson Road for approximately 280m to its junction with Mill Stream Approach to enable the construction phase of the Salisbury River Park Scheme. Alternative route A and B via Ashley Road and Coldharbour Lane. Alternative route C via Mill Stream Approach - Castle Street and Nelson Road. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 04 July 2022 and the closure will be required for 06 months. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 06 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Butterfield Drive (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Beauchamp Drive to its junction with Simmance Way to enable Wessex Water to carry out Secion 81 defect and associated works. Alternative route: via Butterfield Drive (unaffected length) - Boscombe Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 June 2022 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: B) Slab Lane (Part), Redlynch and Downton; from its junction with Primrose Lane for approximately 800m in a north westerly direction to enable BT to carry out replacement of communication poles and associated works. Alternative route via B30801 - Morgans Vale Road - Primrose Lane - Slab Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Telent on 0800 526 015. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. (b) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Byway 10, Durrington/crossing the A344 over to its junction with A303 (T). (c) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 (T) in a southerly direction to its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake. (d) Byway 1 (Part), Wilsford cum Lake; from its junction with Byway 12, Amesbury to its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James. (e) Byway 11 (Part), Berwick St James; from its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake to its junction with Byway 16, Woodford. (f) Byway 16 (Part), Woodford; from its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James to its junction with A360, Druids Lodge. And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at any time restriction on the following lengths of road: (k) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner). (l) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner) in a westerly direction towards Shrewton for a distance of approximately 1 kilometre. (m) B3086 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke and Shrewton; from its junction with A360/A344 (Airman's Corner) in a northerly direction to its junction with The Packway (Rollestone Crossroads). (n) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. (o) C42, Stonehenge Road, Amesbury; from its junction with West Amesbury Road to the A303. These Orders are made to ensure public safety during the period of the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Sections (a) to (h) will come into operation at 00:01hrs on Tuesday 14 June 2022 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Thursday 23 June 2022. Sections (i) to (j) will come into operation at 00:01hrs on Monday 13 June 2022 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Thursday 23 June 2022. Sections (k) - (o) will come into operation at 18:00hrs on Monday 20 June 2022 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Wednesday 23 June 2022. The Order for sections (a) - (i) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. The Orders for sections (j) - (o) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The above order, made on 26 May 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by removing the entire width of part of restricted byway SLAN8 north of Grovely Wood at Hanging Langford Camp from OS Grid ref. SU0127 3534 leading in a south westerly direction to SU0110 3514 (approx. length 260 metres) also adding a length of restricted byway from SU0127 3534 leading west to SU0109 3525 then south to SU0110 3514 with a width of between 9.1 metres and 15.2 metres (approx. length 325 metres), also adding a length of restricted byway on the northern edge of Grovely Wood , east of Sturton Hatch at SU0261 3516 leading east south east to the eastern side of Sturton Hatch at SU0286 3506 with a width of 15.2 metres( approx. length 275 metres), also upgrading the entire length of footpath SLAN15 to restricted byway status from SU0110 3491 leading generally east along the northern edge of Grovely Wood to SU0261 3516 with a width of 15.2 metres (approx. length 1.76km) , also adding a width for restricted byway SLAN8 of between 5-8 metres from SU0321 3706 to SU0321 3697, a width of 9.1 metres from SU0321 3697 to SU0281 3614 and from SU0227 3576 to SU0115 3521, a width of 3-4 metres from SU0281 3614 to SU0227 3576 and a width of 15.2 metres from SU0115 3532 to SU0110 3491, also adding a width for bridleway SLAN10 of 5 metres from the Wylye Road to SU 0350 3685, a width of 9.1 metres from SU0350 3685 to the north side of the railway bridge and from the south side of the railway bridge to its unction with SLAN8, with a width of 2.7 metres under the railway bridge, also adding a width for restricted byway SLAN13 of 9.1 metres from SU0281 3614 to SU0280 3609, and a width of 4-6 metres otherwise. The above order, made on 26 May 2022, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will if confirmed as made, extinguish the entire width of those lengths of public rights of way, north of Grovely Wood, leading broadly south westerly from OS Grid ref SU 0281 3615 to SU 0227 3576, approximately 680 metres in length. Also the entire width of that length of public right of way leading from SU 0280 3610 leading broadly south south westerly and continuing south south westerly to SU 0245 3524, approximately 930 metres in length. Also the entire width and length of that public right of way from SU 0278 3606 leading south westerly to SU 0265 3598, approximately 150 metres in length.
