(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 202
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the M40 Motorway and the A40 Trunk Road in the Districts of South Buckinghamshire and Wycombe in the County of Buckinghamshire, the District of South Oxfordshire and Cherwell in the County of Oxfordshire and Stratford on Avon and Warwick in the County of Warwickshire to allow maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 1 July 2022 and be completed by 23 December 2022. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure (20.00 - 08.00) of sections of:-
(i) the M40 between Junction 1 and Junction 15 and A40 Denham Roundabout, Denham;
(ii) northbound and southbound Oxford Spurs leading to and from the A40 at Junction 8;
(iii) all slip roads leading to and from the M40. During the closures traffic would be diverted via junctions of the M40, A40 and local roads. The duration of each closure would vary depending on the nature of the maintenance work being undertaken on each occasion.

. The closures (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles), and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs. The Order would come into force on 1 July 2022 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
