Essex County Council proposes to commence construction of shared unsegregated footway/cycleway at A133 St. Andrew's Avenue, and A133 Cowdray Avenue in the City of Colchester under highway improvement powers given by Section 65 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers:

Description
A133 Cowdray Avenue
NORTH SIDE From a point approximately 975 metres west of the A133/A1232 Ipswich Road Roundabout, west, for a distance of approximately 124 metres.

A133 St. Andrew's Avenue
NORTH SIDE
From a point approximately 400 metres northwest of the Greenstead Roundabout, northwest, for a distance of approximately 174 metres.

To implement:
'Unsegregated shared use Footway/Cycleway' on the existing grass verge on the following lengths of road, Colchester

Description
A133 St. Andrew's Avenue
SOUTH SIDE From the southern edge of its junction with The Chase, northwest for a distance of approximately 104 metres.

The Shared Footways will be approximately 3.0 metres wide. In addition to the proposed shared use cycleway, a new footway facility in the existing grass verge on the south side of A133 St Andrew's Avenue will be built for a total length of approximately 225 metres.

Notice is also hereby given
that under Section 23 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), Essex County Council proposes to establish a Toucan Crossing on A133 St. Andrew's Avenue, in the City of Colchester located as follows:

'Toucan Crossing' on the following lengths of road, Colchester.

Description
A133 St. Andrew's Avenue
From a point approximately 25.5 metres northwest of the western kerb line of closed junction with The Chase, west, for a distance of approximately 5.2metres. The width of the give way lines between the Toucan Crossing is approximately 11.2 metres.
The centreline of the crossing is approximately 22.9 metres northwest of the western kerb line of the closed junction with The Chase.

Zigzags are located in the following locations.
Northeast side - approximately 13.0 metres in a south-easterly direction.
Southeast side - approximately 17.3 metres in a south-easterly direction.
Northwest side - approximately 17.3 metres in a north-westerly direction.
Southwest side - approximately 4.2 metres in a north-westerly direction.

(Various Roads, Colchester) (16 Air Assault Brigade and Colchester Garrison Show 2019) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) and 22(c) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester:

Road Description
Abbeyfield View (Both junctions), Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road South, south for a distance of approximately 50 metres.

Berechurch Road, Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road South, northeast for a distance of approximately 80 metres to its junction with Circular Road East.

Circular Road East, Colchester
i. From its junction with Berechurch Road, north for a distance of approximately 272 metres.
ii. From its junction with Circular Road North/Flagstaff Road/Napier Road, southeast for a distance of approximately 195 metres.

Circular road North, Colchester
From its junction with Napier Road & Flagstaff Road, west for a distance of approximately 705 metres to its junction with Circular Road West.

Circular Road South, Colchester
From its junction with Berechurch Road, west for a distance of approximately 677 metres to its junction with Circular Road West.

Circular Road West, Colchester
i. From its junction with Circular Road North until it meets the junction that leads into the Cavalry Road Estate.
ii. From the junction that leads into the Cavalry Road Estate, extending south for a distance of approximately 520 metres until its junction with Circular Road South.

Goojerat Road, Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road west, west for a distance of approximately 195 metres to its junction with Kensington Road.

Richmond Road, Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road West, west for a distance of approximately 50 metres.

Stable road, Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road North, northwest for a distance of approximately 70 metres.

Ypres Road, Colchester
From its junction with Circular Road South, south for a distance of approximately 50 metres.

2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the event. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Waiting Restriction) (Consolidation) Order 2008 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The temporary stopping restrictions are scheduled to commence, 8am on 24 June 2022 to 8pm on 25 June 2022 and the closures are scheduled to commence on 25 June 2022 between the hours of 8am to 8pm and are required for public safety while the 16 Air Assault Brigade and Colchester Garrison Show 2022 takes place. The Order will come into effect 24 June 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Vint Crescent, Colchester) (One Way) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and Schedule 1 of The Traffic Orders Procedures Regulations 1996.
Effect of the order: To implement: 'One-Way' Restriction on the following lengths of road, in the City of Colchester.

For its entire length. Starting from its eastern junction with A1124 Lexden Road, in a south-westerly then north-westerly direction to its western junction with A1124 Lexden Road. Thereby permitting traffic to travel in a south-westerly then south-easterly direction.

(Abbots Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Abbots Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Old Heath Road to its junction with Mersea Road a distance of approximately 1240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th July 2022 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2329245-EH2328814 - Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway, footway patching inc bollards and drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council. (Haye Lane, Langenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Haye Lane, Langenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 80m south east of its junction with Mersea Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th July 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160374847 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Mersea Road, Fingringhoe Road, Abberton Road and vice versa with access only into Haye Lane.
The Order will come into effect on 16th June 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Holly Lane, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holly Lane, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Boxted Church Road to its junction with Boxted Road a distance of approximately 1030m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th July 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2329022 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (London Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 580m south west of its junction with Horkesley Hill for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th July 2022 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP00378519911 - Burnt Orange Construction). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Burnt Orange Construction.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Tog Lane, Nayland Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16th June 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Priory Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Priory Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 280m south east of its junction with West End Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th July 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA78133880 -Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Priory Road, Braxted Park Road, Maldon Road, West End Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th June 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Artillery Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Artillery Street, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Cannon Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd June 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WD3HCC4G - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while engineering works are undertaken by Openreach.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with New Road to its junction with Factory Hill a distance of approximately 470m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th June 2022 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2324450 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hamilton Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m south east of its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th June 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160182003 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Constantine Road, Butt Road and vice versa (with access only into Hamilton Road).

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Little Horkesley Road/ Cockrells Road, Wormingford & Cockrells Road, Little Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from the junction with Main Road to the junction with School Road a distance of approximately 1175m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Holts Road, Little Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester from its junction with Cockrells Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.
