The A40 And A449 Trunk Roads (Herefordshire)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A40 and A449 Trunk Roads in the District of the County of Herefordshire, to allow vegetation cutting to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times, -
(1) any slip road or link road leading to or from -

(a) the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A449 from the roundabout junction with the B4221 and the M50 at Junction 4 (Travellers Rest Roundabout), to the roundabout junction with the A40, Ledbury Road and Netherton Road (Over Ross Roundabout), at Ross-on-Wye; and

(b) the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A40 from Over Ross Roundabout, to the England/Wales border;

(2) any layby adjacent to the lengths of the A449 and the A40 described at (1)(a) and (b) above.

The work will be carried out between 09:00 hours and 17:30 hours, on week days only, and is expected to start on Monday 20 June 2022 and continue for two weeks. The slip/link road closures are expected to be for short periods only. The Order will come into force on 13 June 2022. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
