Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 47504 Bisley Road from its junction with Valley View Road to its junction with Mason Road for a distance of approximately 455 metres. The reason for the closure is for mains water pipe renewal.

The reason for the closures is for installation of Fibre Optic equipment. The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 9th June 2022, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. This order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 27th June 2022. Temporary Closure Of Various Footpaths (Eastington Parish) Stroud District
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of various Public Footpaths as defined in the Schedule below.
SCHEDULE
Public Footpath EEA 24 from its junction with EEA 27 at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO 79073/06386 extending in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 140 metres to a point approximately 100 metres north of Nastend Lane. Public Footpath EEA 25 from its junction with EEA 24 at OSGR SO 79094/06340 extending in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 200 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EEA 17.
Public Footpath EEA 26 from its junction with EEA 17 at OSGR SO 79188/06502 extending in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 235 metres to its junction with Nastend Lane.
Public Footpath EEA 27 from its junction with EEA 24 at OSGR SO 79073/06386 extending in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 225 metres to its junction with EEA 17 near to Nastend Lane.
Public Footpath EEA 17 from a point approximately 15 metres north west from its junction with EEA 25 and EEA 26 extending in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 170 metres to its junction with EEA 17 near to Nastend Lane. The closure is necessary for health and safety concerns due to the footpaths crossing through a construction site.
This temporary closure Order came into force on 12th August 2019 and was due to expire on 12th February 2020. However, works were not completed and an extension was granted by the Secretary of State for Transport, and lasted until 12thJune 2022. However, works have still not been completed and the Secretary of State for Transport has therefore extended the Order until the 18th December 2023, or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. Pedestrian access to properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.
