Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984 Parkside Rd & Winwick Ln (10/20/30 MPH Speed Limits) Temporary Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce either a 10mph, 20mph or 30mph speed limit restriction, as required, along the following lengths of road: Parkside Rd from its jct. with Golborne Rd to the Borough Boundary with St. Helens; Winwick Ln from its jct. with M6 junction 22 to the Borough Boundary with Wigan. The Order will be effective from 16th June 2022 for a period of 18 months as & when the signs are in place on site. The restrictions are required to allow for highway works associated with the Parkside development to take place. Ref: High/2344

Birchwood Roundabouts (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2022
Notice is hereby given
that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 19th May 2022. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Birchwood Park Ave from the roundabout at Garret Field/Glover Rd to the roundabout at Warrington Rd/Daten Ave; Glover Rd (North) from the Roundabout at Birchwood Park Ave to Havisham Cl; Kelvin Cl from the Roundabout at Birchwood Park Ave for 50m. The Order was to be effective from 30th May 2022, however the works will now be effective from 13th June 2022 for 6 weeks, between 7pm & 1am, as & when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The phases, alternative routes & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised. The Borough of Warrington (Orford) (Low Traffic Neighbourhood) (Traffic Management Scheme) Experimental Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that on 1st June 2022 the Council made the abovementioned Order under Sections 1, 4, 9 & 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling Powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
1) The Borough of Warrington (Smith Drive, Withers Avenue, Hallows Avenue & Adjoining Streets) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 1987 is suspended in its entirety.

2) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

3) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice, except for Buses, Taxis & for the purposes of loading & unloading. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

4) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle leaving property numbers 7, 7A & 7B Hallfields Rd from making a left hand turn onto Hallfields Rd, except for Taxis.

5) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle leaving "Norris St passageway rear of 6 to 64 Ref 10013404505' to the rear of property numbers 32 to 64 Norris St & to the side of property number 2 Hallfields Rd from making a left hand turn onto Hallfields Rd, except for Taxis.

6) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle leaving the area to the rear of property numbers 68 & 68A Norris St from making a right hand turn onto Hallfields Rd, except for Taxis.

7) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle leaving property number 5 Hallfields Rd from making a right hand turn onto Hallfields Rd, except for Taxis.

8) To introduce a 24 Hour Bus Gate on the length of Hallfields Rd which extends from a point approx. 32m north east of its junction with Norris St in a north easterly direction for approx. 35m, in both directions, except for Buses & Taxis. Pedal Cycles will be permitted in both directions.

9) To introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit on Hallfields Rd, for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 20th June 2022 & will remain in force for a period not exceeding 18 months. The Council will be considering in due course, within the Experimental Order period, whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should continue in force indefinitely. Schedule 1 - Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Alder Ln - From a point approx. 38m south east of its junction with East Ave for a distance of 2m in a south westerly direction; Orford Ave - From a point approx. 35m north east of its junction with Norris St for a distance of 2m in a north easterly direction; Fitzherbert St - From a point approx. 6m west of its junction with Orford Ave for a distance of 2m in a westerly direction; Mortimer Ave - From a point approx. 30m south west of its junction with Alder Ln for a distance of 2m in a south westerly direction; South Ave - From a point approx. 8m north of its junction with Lathom Ave for a distance of 2m in a northerly direction; South Ave - From a point approx. 27m south of its junction with Ireland St for a distance of 2m in a southerly direction; Central Ave - From a point approx. 7m south west of its junction with Alder Ln for a distance of 2m in a south westerly direction.
Schedule 2 - Prohibition of Motor Vehicles, except for Buses, Taxis & Loading/Unloading Hallfields Rd - From its junction with Withers Ave in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 34m; Hallfields Rd - From its junction with Norris St in a north easterly direction for a distance of 32m. The Borough of Warrington (Westy) (Low Traffic Neighbourhood) (Traffic Management Scheme) Experimental Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that on 1st June 2022 the Council made the abovementioned Order under Sections 1, 4, 9 & 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling Powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
1) The Borough of Warrington (Henshall Avenue & Broadbent Avenue) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1989 is suspended in so far as it relates to the One Way restriction on Broadbent Ave, from Davies Ave to Kingsway South, from west to east.

2) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

3) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along Broadbent Ave (between Kingsway South & the eastern side of Davies Ave), in any direction other than a westerly direction (east to west).

4) To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding along Broadbent Ave (between the western side of Davies Ave & Griffiths St), in any direction other than a westerly direction (east to west).

The Order will be effective from 20th June 2022 & will remain in force for a period not exceeding 18 months. The Council will be considering in due course, within the Experimental Order period, whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should continue in force indefinitely.
