The A85 Trunk Road (Oban)
(Temporary Prohibition On Use Of Road) Order 2022

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A85 Tyndrum - Oban Trunk Road at Oban from its junction with Corran Esplanade, in a generally north easterly direction to the junction with Dunollie Road, then in a generally southerly direction along Dunollie Road and George Street, to its junction with Queens Park Place, a distance of 760 metres or thereby. The Order, which is required to facilitate the holding of the Oban Pipe Band Charities Day Parade, will be in operation from 4th June until 5th June 2022. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place for approximately 20 minutes on or around 1pm and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an
emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard
purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding
of the relevant event.
