NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Falstone Public Bridleways Number 1, Number 17, & Number 26. Parish of Tarset Public Bridleways Number 1, & Number 5. Parish of Greystead Public Bridleway Number 3 & Number 8, in the County of Northumberland.

The routes are described as follows: Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway 1
From a point south of Bellingburn Head, grid reference 369217/589906, in a general north-easterly direction for a distance of 3500 metres to the junction with Parish of Tarset Public Bridleway No 5. Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway 17
From a point 9 metres east of number 1 Hawkhope Hill, in a general north-easterly direction for a distance of 2576 meters to the junction with Parish of Tarset Public Bridleway No 1. Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway 26
From a point 91 metres southeast of number 1 Hawkhope Hill, in a general westerly direction for a distance of 4496 metres to the junction with Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway No 1, grid reference 369217/589906. Parish of Tarset Public Bridleway 1
From a point at the junction with Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway No 17, grid reference 373788/589629 in a general northerly direction for a distance of 1687 metres to a point at the junction with Parish of Tarset Public Bridleway No 5 at grid reference 374134/591214. Parish of Tarset Public Bridleway 5
From a point at the junction with Parish of Falstone Public Bridleway
No 1, grid reference 371711/591074, in a general north-easterly direction for
a distance of 2553 metres, to a point at the junction with Parish of Tarset

From a point 200 metres south of Smalesmouth Farm, in a general south-easterly direction for a distance of 3834 metres, to a point 430 metres east of Shepherds Burn Cottage Parish of Grevstead Public Bridleway 8
From a point 520 metres east of Wainbog Hill, in a general southerly direction for a distance of 2104 metres, to a point 740 metres west of Shepherds Burn Cottage There are no alternative routes available.
The Order is being made due to the likelihood of danger to the public during the Kielder Forest Rally which is scheduled for the 18th June 2022. The Order is to be effective from 06:00 hours on 18th June 2022 and will remain in force until 22:00 hours on 18th June 2022, subject to the provisions of section 15 of the Act.
