Kyo Heugh Road, Temporary Road Closure

(Kyo Heugh Road, Harperley) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 27/5/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 155 metres of Kyo Heugh Road, Harperley, prior to the Kyo Heugh Bridge, up to Kyoburn House to enable Durham County Council structure reinforcement works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the north side of the closure, southerly on Kyo Lane, south westerly on Shield Row Lane, north westerly on Durham Road and Station Road, north westerly on New Front Street and North Road, north easterly on Kyo Road and Harperley Road onto Kyo Heugh Road, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 6/6/22 from 8am and are anticipated to be completed in 21 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
