Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures is for installation of Fibre Optic equipment. The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 9th June 2022, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 27th June 2022. PARISH MODIFICATION ORDER 2022
The above Order made on 19 May 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the following length of public footpath which commences at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference ("OSGR") SO 8663/ 0203 at its junction with Spinney Court (publicly maintainable highway 45987) and runs is a generally north easterly direction for approximately 17 metres and then in a generally north westerly direction for a further 19m metres to OSGR SO8663/ 0206 at its junction with The Roundabouts (publicly maintainable highway 41436). A copy of the Order and Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG and Stroud District Council, Ebley Mill, Ebley Wharf, Stroud, GL5 4UB. Temporary Closure Of Restricted Byway Mro 2 And Public Footpath Zst 58 (Rodborough Parish And Stroud Town) Stroud District
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Restricted Byway MRO 2 from its junction with Butterrow Lane extending in a generally easterly direction for approximately 165 metres to its junction with Public Footpath ZST 58 before continuing for a further 190 metres in an easterly direction to its junction with A419, London Road.
The Restricted Byway and Public Footpath falls in Parish of Rodborough and Stroud Town in the Stroud District and in the County of Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to safeguard the public from plant and work traffic whilst works to the rail embankment take place. The Order will come into force on the 6th June 2022 and it is anticipated that the said Restricted Byway and Footpath will close on that day until 30th July 2022. However, the Order can permit the closure of the said Restricted Byway and Footpath for up to six months from the date of the initial closure. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
Alternative route: as signed on the Order Map. Pedestrian access to adjoining properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.
