Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: B3081 (Part), Tollard Royal; from outside property known as Rectory Cottage for a distance of approximately 140m in a westerly direction to enable BT to erect telegraph pole and associated works. Alternative route: via B3081 (unaffected length) - A354 - A350- A30 - C295 -B3081 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 14 December 2021 will now recommence on 01 June 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. (b) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Byway 10, Durrington/ crossing the A344 over to its junction with A303 (T). (c) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 (T) in a southerly direction to its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake. (d) Byway 1 (Part), Wilsford cum Lake; from its junction with Byway 12, Amesbury to its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James. (e) Byway 11 (Part), Berwick St James; from its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake to its junction with Byway 16, Woodford. (f) Byway 16 (Part), Woodford; from its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James to its junction with A360, Druids Lodge. (g) Byway 11 (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 (T) in a southerly direction to its junction with Byway 2, Wilsford cum Lake. (h) Byway 2, (Part), Wilsford cum Lake; from its junction with Byway 11, Amesbury to its junction with Footpath 3 at Springbottom Farm, Wilsford cum Lake. (i) Footpath 4, Durrington, from its junction with the A345, to its junction with Fargo Road. (j) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at any time restriction on the following lengths of road: (k) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner). (l) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner) in a westerly direction towards Shrewton for a distance of approximately 1 kilometre. (m) B3086 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke and Shrewton; from its junction with A360/A344 (Airman's Corner) in a northerly direction to its junction with The Packway (Rollestone Crossroads). (n) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. (o) C42, Stonehenge Road, Amesbury; from its junction with West Amesbury Road to the A303. These Orders are made to ensure public safety during the period of the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Sections (a) to (h) will come into operation at 00:01hrs on Tuesday 14 June 2022 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Thursday 23 June 2022. Sections (i) to (j) will come into operation at 00:01hrs on Monday 13 June 2022 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Thursday 23 June 2022. Sections (k) - (o) will come into operation at 18:00hrs on Monday 20 June 2021 and is expected to remain in force until 12 noon on Wednesday 23 June 2022 2021. The Order for sections (a) - (i) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. The Orders for sections (j) - (o) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Footpath 25, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with Hatts Hill to its junction with Semley Common; B) Footpath 38, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with C299 to its junction with Barkers Hill; C) Footpath 39, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with Footpath 38, Sedgehill and Semley to its junction with Barkers Hill to enable Wessex Water to install a new water supply pipeline to provide better resilience and higher quality water supply to the local area. Alternative route (A): via Hatts Lane - Footpath 26 Sedgehill and Semley - Bridleway 28, Sedgehill and Semley and vice versa. Alternative route (B) and (C): Barkers Hill - Green Lane and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
