(Fynway Footpath, Sacriston) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2021

The above-named Order made by the Council on 19/11/2021 under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 29/11/2021 has been continued in force from 29/5/2022 as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 29/11/2022 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 65 metres of segregated footpath that extends eastwards from Durham Road along the southern side of Graham Court, Sacriston to enable new housing development and retaining wall works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the western side of the closure from Durham Road, south westerly and turning north easterly on Fynway leading to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa.
