Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

Footpath 121, Potterne; from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with Footpath 34, Potterne to enable Drainage work to be carried out.

Alternative route: via Footpath 35, Potterne - Footpath 34, Potterne and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 30 May 2022 and the closure will be required until 06 June 2022. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

B) The Hamlet (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Langley Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out clearance to blockages in the underground network and associated works.

(c) Byway 5, Avebury; from its junction with Byway 1, Avebury (Ridgeway) to its junction with Byway 3, Avebury.

The closures will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order is made to ensure public safety during the period of the Avebury Summer Solstice.

Section (a) will come into operation at 06:00 on 20 June 2022 and will remain in force until 00:01 on 23 June 2022. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Chippenham "Longest Day 10K" Event to take place.

This Order will come into operation on Wednesday 22nd June 2022 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the marathon, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform or a Community Safety (CSAS) accredited marshal.
