NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, KINGSTON LISLE FOOTPATH NO 4 AND SPARSHOLT FOOTPATH NO 6 (PART), PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2021.
On 9th May 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting Kingston Lisle FP 4 running from OS Grid Reference SU 3299 8880 south of Kingstoncommon Bridge eastwards and then east-north-eastwards for 170m through Kingston Common Farm to OS Grid Ref SU 33159 88837 and then eastwards for 378m to the Sparsholt Parish boundary at OS Grid Ref SU 33535 88784 to a new line running from OS Grid Reference SU 3299 8880 south of Kingstoncommon Bridge eastwards for 549m through Kingston Common Farm through OS Grid Ref SU 33100 88820, OS Grid Ref SU 33104 88820 and OS Grid Ref SU 33158 88830 to the Sparsholt Parish Boundary at OS Grid Ref SU 33535 88780 as shown on the Order plan and 241m of Sparsholt FP 6 running from the Kingston Lisle Parish boundary at OS Grid Reference SU 33535 88784 south-westwards to OS Grid Ref SU 3374 8866 to a new line running for 234m from the Kingston Lisle Parish boundary at OS Grid Ref SU 33535 88780 south-westwards to OS Grid Ref SU 3374 8866 where it re-joins the unaffected length of Sparsholt FP 6 as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 26th May 2022 make an application to the High Court.
