Revocation of Prohibition of Stopping at School Entrances
Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.507) Order 2022 which will come into operation on 2nd June 2022.The effect of the Order will be to revoke no stopping
at school entrances on:
- Mosley Common Road, Mosley Common (Amendment 171 - Op 06.06.11) (North Side) from a point 4 metres west of its junction with Common Side Road for a distance of 43.56 metres in a westerly direction.
A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be requested by post, or by emailing

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or
(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1,
or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 19th May 2022 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
