THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (FOOTPATH NOS.536209 AND 536210 IN THE PARISH OF KENDAL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 27 July 2021, which became operative on 1 August 2021, to enable Volkerstevin to carry out works to install a flood defence wall ("the Works") and which would otherwise expire on 30 June 2022
: has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 August 2022. The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Footpath in the Parish of Kendal:
1. The entire length of Footpath No.536209 between its junctions with Kirkland and Footpath No.536210; and
2. An approx. 250 metre section of Footpath No.536210 Glebe Walk between Grid Refs: SD 51651 91959 to SD 51729 92111. A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will be available via the unrestricted section of Footpath No.536210, Footpath No.536211 and the footways alongside Kirkland.

If the works have not been completed within t he extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
