Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2022

On the 19 May 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Darnley Road and Dovecothall Roundabout, Barrhead in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works within or near these roads, scheduled to be carried from Monday 4 July until Sunday 10 July 2022.
The Order authorises the closure of the roads for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes: Darnley Road: Dovecothall Street - Glasgow Road - Nitshill Road - Parkhouse Road - Darnley Road and vice versa;
Dovecothall Roundabout: Dovecothall Street - Glasgow Road -Nitshill Road - Parkhouse Road -
Darnley Road and vice versa; Aurs Road - Aurs Drive - Arthurlie Street - Main Street and vice versa; Main Street - CrossArthurlie Street - Carlibar Road -Dovecothall Street and vice versa.
