NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
The Somerset County Council (Footpath BW35/12 (part) in West Huntspill Parish)
Public Path Diversion Order, 2022

On 20th May 2022 Somerset County Council confirmed the above named Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert:-

1. Part of footpath BW35/12 starts from national grid reference ST2933245910 (point A) and runs in a generally westerly direction for approximately 70 metres to point B [ST2926545912]. To a new route which starts from national grid reference ST2933545929 (point E) and runs in a westerly direction for approximately 70 metres to point F [ST2926645931] then in a southerly direction for approximately 21 metres to point B (ST2926545912). The width of the footpath is 2 metres

2. Part of footpath BW35/12 starts from national grid reference ST2926245675 (point C) and runs in a south south easterly direction for approximately 56 metres to point D [ST2928345622]. To a new route which starts from national grid reference ST2926245675 (point C) and runs in a south easterly direction for approximately 46 metres to point G [ST2929145639] then in a south westerly direction for approximately 18 metres to point D [ST2928345622]. The width of the footpath is 2 metres.

A copy of the order and the order plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Somerset County Council, A Block, County Hall, Taunton, from 9.00am until 3.00pm Monday to Friday. The Order will come into force on 9" July 2022, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 24* May 2022, make an application to the High Court.
