THE BAY CE SCHOOL, SANDOWN - EXPANSION OF RESOURCED PROVISION

1. Notice Is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, that Isle of Wight Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to THE BAY CE SCHOOL, The Fairway, Sandown PO36 9JH (category of school - community) by increasing the capacity of the school, with effect from 1 September 2022.

2. The objectives of the proposal are to increase the number of places at the resourced provision at The Bay CE School (age range 11-16) from 12 to 15 for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) on the Isle of Wight.

3. The current capacity of the secondary provision at The Bay CE School is 900 and it is proposed to increase the capacity within the resourced provision at the school from 12 to 15 places. This will not affect the overall capacity of mainstream places at The Bay CE School.

4. There is no capital cost for this project.
