(LOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOODS EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2022
The above Experimental Order, which was made on 9 May 2022 comes into effect on 20 May is being trialled as a further 'Low Traffic Neighbourhood' by reducing through traffic and improving the local environment.
1. The Director of Environment and Place of the County Council is empowered to modify Experimental Orders or any provision of them pursuant to and in accordance with Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 if it appears essential in the interest of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic.
2. NOTICE IS GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council hereby modifies the above Experimental Order so as to clarify the position of a traffic filter (Prohibition of Traffic) as follows:
3. In Southfield Road the filter will be located at a point 1 metre northeast of Warneford Road (and not Minster Road as originally stated).
4. This modification comes into operation on 20 May and will remain in force for the duration of the Experimental Order.
5. The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, East Oxford Area) (Experimental Traffic Management) Order 2022 made 10 May 2022 is revoked.
6. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order (as modified) should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of an order for the purpose of such indefinite continuation within a period of 6 months beginning with the day on which this modification comes into force. If you wish to question the validity of the modification or of any provision contained in it or have an objection you must submit this in writing and state the grounds on which it is made and all objections and other representations must be sent to the address below. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
(CITY OF OXFORD) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.2) ORDER 2022
NOTICE is given that on 16 May 2022 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order which comes into force on 20 May 2022 introduces/ extends 20mph speed limits on the following roads in place of the existing 30mph speed limit:
a) A4144 Folly Bridge and Abingdon Road from St Aldates southwards to near the B4495 Weirs Lane.
b) B480 Cowley Road, Oxford Road and Garsington Road from The Plain to St Lukes Road.
c) A420 London Place and Headington Road extending the current 20mph limit from The Plain to a point 58 metres northeast of Marston Road.
d) B4495 Church Cowley Road - the entire length, to meet the existing 20mph speed limit on Between Towns Road.
e) B4150 Marston Road from St Clements to near Harberton Mead.
f) A4158 Iffley Road from The Plain to a point in Rose Hill 50 metres southeast of Church Cowley Road.
g) B4495 Donnington Bridge Road and Weirs Lane.
The Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2022 made 9 May 2022 is revoked due to some administrative schedule entries being shown wrongly.
