COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND IN LITTLE HORTON, BRADFORD


1. Notice is hereby given that The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has made The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (Land north east of Draughton Grove, Little Horton, Bradford) (Derelict Land Renovation Scheme) Compulsory Purchase Order 2022 under Section 89 of The National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1990. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, and if confirmed the order will authorise The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of bringing derelict land lying to the north east of Draughton Grove, Little Horton, Bradford back into beneficial use as a community amenity space.

2. A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the City Hall Reception of The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Centenary Square, Bradford BD1 1HY and on the Council's scheme web site - https://www.bradford.gov.uk/business/properties/compulsory-purchase-orders/

3. Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Seacole Building, No 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P4DF before Friday, the 3rd June 2022 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector's address and interests in the land.

4. In submitting an objection, it should be noted that the personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be passed to The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to enable any objection to be considered. If any person does not wish personal data to be forwarded to the Council, they should state why when submitting the objection and the Secretary of State will copy the representations to the Council with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.

414 square metres of derelict land lying to the north east of Draughton Grove, Little Horton, Bradford.
