LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(CAMP ROAD. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate drainage investigation and survey works in Camp Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to :-

(a) enter or proceed in Camp Road, from its junction with Westside Common to its junction with Camp View; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Camp Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length or road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or length of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Camp View, North View and West Place or vice versa.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 31 st May 2022 with the works anticipated to be carried out that day between the hours of 8am and 6pm. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of six months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

(HATFEILD CLOSE AND RAVENSBURY GROVE. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022


1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate construction and development works in Hatfeild Close, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Hatfeild Close and suspend waiting restrictions in Ravensbury Grove.

2. During the works, no person would;

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait in Hatfeild Close, between its junction with Flutter Gardens and its junction with Ravensbury Grove;

(b) enter or proceed on the southern footway of the length of Hatfeild Close specified in paragraph (a) above.

3. During the works, the waiting restrictions in Ravensbury Grove, the north-west side, from a point 5 metres south-west of its junction with Hatfeild Close to a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 1 and 3 Ravensbury Grove, shall be suspended.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any persons engaged in the execution of the works.

7. The restrictions in paragraph 2(a) above would not apply to construction delivery vehicles being loaded or unloaded.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 6 June 2022 and would remain in force until 5 December 2022.
