NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF EAST AYRSHIRE PROPOSED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN, ACTION PROGRAMME, SUPPLEMENTARY GUIDANCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT

Notice is hereby given that East Ayrshire Council will on 23 May 2022 publish a Proposed Local Development Plan and associated Action Programme, Supplementary Guidance and Environmental Report.
The Proposed Plan is the second key stage in the production of Local Development Plan 2 and represents the Councils settled view on where and how development should take place in East Ayrshire over the next 10-20 years. The Proposed Plan sets out the Councils proposed policy framework for all land use matters within East Ayrshire. Supplementary Guidance on (i) Dark Sky Park Lighting; (ii) Stewarton Development Framework and; (iii) Kilmarnock Town Centre and South Central Kilmarnock Development Framework has been prepared to support the Plan.
The Proposed Plan, Supplementary Guidance, Action Programme and Environmental Report can be viewed at:
(1) The Council's website at www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk
(2) All community libraries within East Ayrshire.
Representations on the Proposed Plan are invited and should preferably be sent by email to localdevelopmentplans@east-ayrshire.gov.uk. They may also be made in writing by addressing them to Development Planning and Regeneration, East Ayrshire Council, the Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1DD.
Representations should preferably be made on the representation forms available on the Council's website.
Representations should clearly state the name and address of the respondent and the matters to which they relate. Representations must be received by the Council no later than 4pm on Friday 22 July 2022.
Informal drop-in and online information sessions are being organised and will be advertised on the Council's website. Please email localdevelopmentplans@east-ayrshire.gov.uk if you would like to be directly notified of the timing of these events.
