Proposed Variation of Hackney Carriage Fares

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ryedale District Council pursuant to the powers contained

in section 65 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 proposes to

vary the table of fares in respect of hackney carriages licensed by the Council, as follows:

Fare up to Each extra

1/2th mile 1/20th mile

and/or 3 min T1 or 1/10th

50 seconds mile T2 & T3 Extras

Tariff 1 - Standard Rate

Hirings between

£3.30 £0.11 Where over 2 passengers £1.50

6am and 9pm

are carried (per passenger)

Tariff 2 - Night Time Rate

Hirings between

£3.90 £0.28 For each bicycle, pram, £0.20

9pm and 6am

pushchair, cat or dog

A copy of this notice may be inspected at Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton,

YO17 7HH.

Any objections to the proposed variation should be made in writing by no later than

Tuesday 31 May 2022 to the Licensing Section, Ryedale House, Old Malton Road,

Malton, YO17 7HH.

If no objections are received within the specified period, or if all objections received

are withdrawn the proposed variation will come into operation on Wednesday

1 June 2022.
