York, Traffic Restrictions to various roads

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 12th day of May 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1) & (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered (3), (4), (5) & (6).
1) MONKS CROSS DRIVE. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Monks Cross Drive, York between its junction with Rose Street and a location approximately 45 metres north of said junction (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2030hrs on Monday, 16 May 2022 and ending at 0500hrs on Thursday, 19 May 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the road will only be close between 2230hrs and 0500hrs each night. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed during the works period.
2) ASKHAM BRYAN FOOTPATH NO 2/9/10 (CONTINUATION). ASKHAM BRYAN
This Order continues in force The Askham Bryan (Askham Bryan Footpath No 2/9/10) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order 2017 (original Order), the effect of which is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footpath known as Askham Bryan Footpath No. 2/9/10 which connects Askham Fields Lane and A64 (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 16th day of May 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on the 30th day of November 2022 (danger period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier.
3) OGLEFORTH. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Ogleforth, York between its junction with Goodramgate and a location approximately 57 metres northwest of said junction (closed road) during the period when sewer maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Monday, 23 May 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 31 May 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
4) VINE STREET. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Vine Street, York between its junction with Cherry Street and a location 128 metres east of said junction (closed road) during the period when sewer repair works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Monday, 23 May 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Friday, 27 May 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
5) ST GILES WAY. COPMANTHORPE
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on St Giles Way, Copmanthorpe between its junctions with Main Street and Station Road (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Thursday, 26 May 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Monday, 30 May 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
6) COMMON ROAD LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through Common Road Level Crossing, Strensall (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2330hrs on Wednesday, 25 May 2022 and ending at 0555hrs on Thursday, 26 May 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
