Declaration of Nature Reserve at Pelaw Woods

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of Sections 19 and 21 of the above mentioned Act, that by the Pelaw Woods Nature Reserve No 1 Declaration 2022, made on the fourth day of May 2022,30 ha or thereabouts, known as Pelaw Woods, situated in the Parish of the City of Durham in the County of Durham and shown edged in red on the plan attached to the said Declaration has been acquired and is held by the Council and that the said land is being managed as a Nature Reserve.

A copy of the said Declaration with plan attached can be inspected free of charge at the offices of the Council at County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL from Monday to Friday inclusive during normal office hours and may also be obtained by writing to the Head of Legal & Democratic Services, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL or by email:
