Temporary Road Closure 41277 The Firs To Whitegates (Chalford Parish) Stroud District

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 41277 The Firs to Whitegates from its junction with The Pitch to its junction with Brownshill Road for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The reason for the closure is to install a new sewer connection

Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road will be maintained. Emergency access
will not be maintained due to the excavation being across the carriageway.

Emergency Closure Of Mmh 156 (Minchinhampton Parish) Stroud District

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Public Footpath MMH 156 from north-west of Knapp Farm and then extending in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 310 metres to its junctions with Public Footpath MMH 176 north north-east of Knapp Farm.
Also closed is a Public Footpath which will soon replace the line of the former MMH 156 and commences from OSGR 387691/201961 north-west of Knapp Farm then extends in a generally westerly then north-westerly direction for approximately 161 metres to its junction with Knapp Lane at OSGR 387571/202049 north-west of Knapp Farm and shown on the attached plan by a solid black line marked A to C.
The Road falls in Minchinhampton Parish in the Stroud District and in the County of Gloucestershire;
The closure is necessary as there are currently no bridge crossings over the River Frome. The public footpath was originally closed for 21 days by notice commencing 19th April 2022. However, as the works to remedy the problem have not been completed it is necessary to extend the closure by Order commencing 10th May 2022.
This legal Order will authorise the closure of the public footpath for up to six months from the date of the original Notice. However, if the problem continues after this time then it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension to the closure. Alternative Routes - via Knapp Lane.
Emergency and Pedestrian access to adjoining premises is to be maintained.

A length of public footpath at Long Ground, Gannicox, in the Town of Stroud that commences at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference OSGR SO8446/0519 at the junction with the county highway 61242 then extends in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 34 metres to OSGR SO8449/0520 at its junction with Public Footpath ZST69.
