A34 Trunk Road (Peartree Interchange, Oxford) Temporary Traffic Restrictions

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the adjoining roundabout. The effect of the Order would be to impose, over 24-hour periods, a 50mph speed limit on:-

(a) the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Peartree Interchange (A44); and

(b) the road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A34 at Peartree Interchange (A44).

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council undertake junction improvements on the roundabout and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 10 months starting on or after
Wednesday 1st June 2022.
The Order would come into force on 30th May 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
The temporary speed restrictions would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
