(Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022


Notice is hereby given that on the 29th day of April 2022 Somerset County Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 21st day of April 2022 to introduce a temporary 40mph Speed Limit as specified in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 5th day of May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 10th day of May 2022 for 1 day. The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary 40mph Speed Limit B3187 Burn Hill, Wiveliscombe
- From a point 602 metres south of the junction with the Huntash Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 301 metres.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
