SP Manweb PLC The Electricity Act 1989 Regulation 5 of The Electricity (Applications for Consent) Regulations 1990 (as amended) Proposed New 132kV Overhead Electrical Distribution Line at Omega, St Helens
Pursuant to the above Regulations, notice is hereby given that SP Manweb plc, registered office: 3 Prenton Way Prenton, CH43 3ET, has submitted to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, an application for consent under section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 and deemed planning permission under section 90(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 for the following overhead electric line works on the existing "FH" circuit which runs between Cuerdley and Warrington Grid Substation. The works comprise: The placing of a 132kV single circuit wood pole overhead line, originating at the existing 132kV pole (FH217R) located south of the M62, approximately 2km west of Junction 8, M62 Warrington. The proposed new section of 132kV overhead line will run south from the existing pole FH217R for 7 spans, turning west for the final span. Here it will rejoin the existing 132kV line at pole FH213A. The proposed overhead line is a diversion of the existing overhead line that runs through these fields. The poles are being shifted to the east by between 60 and 70m to enable the progression of the proposed industrial development. Existing poles FH216, FH215 and FH214 shall be removed once the new overhead is in place. The application documents, including plans showing the location and extent of the proposed overhead electric line works have been placed on deposit at the SP Energy Networks website for inspection: www.spenergynetworks.co.uk search for "Omega" If a hard copy of the documents is required, please contact claire.duffy@spenergynetworks.co.uk. The application documents will be available for inspection on the website until 27th May 2022. Any objections and/or representations in respect of these applications must be made in writing before 27th May 2022 and emailed to: s37-Wayleaves@beis.gov.uk and should state the grounds on which they are made.
Any such objections or representations will be copied to the relevant planning authority and SP Manweb plc, unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so copied. If there is such a request then the relevant planning authority and SP Manweb plc will only be informed that an objection has been made, but no details will be forwarded to them.
