Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Oak Grove Road Penge
Notice Of Making An Order
1. The Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in order for Thames Water to repair a water leak THEY HAVE MADE an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions on vehicular traffic: -
Oak Grove Road Penge will be closed for up to eight days from Monday 9th May 2022. The road will be closed between the junctions of Tramway Road and Chesham Road. The closure will be in place for the entire duration of works.
Displaced traffic will be diverted via: -
Croydon Road A213, Elmers End Road A214 and Ash Grove in both directions. WAITING VEHICLES
No person shall until the works are completed cause or permit any vehicle to wait between the properties 28 to 34 Oak Grove Road and properties 21 to 27 Oak Grove Road, Penge on either side of the street. The restriction is in place from Monday 9th May 2022 at 08:00 until Monday 16th May 2022 at 18:00.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986, or by the Council in accordance with the powers conferred upon it.
2. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. THE Order will come into effect on Monday 9th May 2022 with no specified finish date.
4. ALTHOUGH the Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months, it is expected that the actual works will that the works will take up to eight days to complete and will begin on or after the commencement date of the Order.
5. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or a Traffic Warden.
6. THE restriction referred to in this Order shall not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the work.
7. ACCESS to properties will be maintained at all times, however vehicles will need to follow the diversion signs displayed on site whilst the closure is in place. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the works.
