Temporary Closure of Various Roads St Leonards & St Ives and Ashley Heath
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 June 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7 August 2022. These works are programmed between these dates, an exact programme of works will follow.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
[i] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along
CRAIGSIDE ROAD / FIR TREE CLOSE / HEATHER CLOSE / LAUREL LANE / MALMESBURY ROAD / PADDOCK CLOSE / SHELLEY CLOSE / SYLVAN CLOSE / WILLOW CLOSE / WOOLSBRIDGE ROAD, St Leonards and St Ives (in both directions).
[ii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along
CLANE FROM ALMER LODGE TO ST MARYS CHURCH / ASHLEY DRIVE NORTH / ASHLEY DRIVE SOUTH / ASHLEY DRIVE WEST / ASHLEY PARK / BRACKEN CLOSE / GROSVENOR CLOSE / HILL WAY / IVY CLOSE / MONKWORTHY DRIVE / PINE MANOR ROAD / STRUAN GARDENS / WOOLSBRIDGE ROAD, Ashley Heath (in both directions).
[iii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along all roads listed above. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.

The Dorset Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Leigh Road and Wimborne Road West, Wimborne) (Experimental No.1) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended: Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
The Order will come into operation on 6 May 2022 on an experimental basis and will introduce "No waiting at any time on the verge or footway" along sections of Leigh Road and Wimborne Road West, Wimborne.
The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council consider whether the provisions of the experimental Traffic Order shall continue in force indefinitely.
