Executive Committee - Education

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of the Scheme for the Constitution of the Executive Committee - Education of the Scottish Borders Council that the churches or denominational bodies (other than the Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church) which claim to have duly constituted charges or other regularly appointed places of worship within the Borders and to be entitled to be represented at the meeting for the nomination of one person with a view to appointment as a member of the Executive Committee-Education must transmit to the Clerk to the Council, Democratic Services, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells, Melrose, TD6 OSA, prior to 16 May 2022;
|a) A certified list of the names and situations of the duly constituted charges or other regularly appointed places of worship which such church or denominational body claims to have within the Borders.
(b) A certified statement of the number of representatives whom such a church or denominational body claims to be entitled to have at the aforesaid meeting calculated in accordance with the following scale.

Not more than 3 One

More than 3 and not more than 6 Two

More than 6, but not more than 10 Three

More than 10, but not more than 15 Four

More than 15, but not more than 20 Five

Each 10 in excess of 20 One additional

and,
(c) The full names and postal addresses of the persons appointed to represent such church or denominational body at the said meeting.

A copy of the relevant excerpt from the Regulations and Nominations of persons to be appointed to the Executive Committee - Education which forms part of the Scheme referred to above may be obtained from the undersigned. J. J.
