Application For Listed Building Consent
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council is seeking planning permission and intends to apply to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for Listed Building Consent for Replacement of an existing boiler. Provision of new boiler together with the provision of a new external flue at Halstead Library, Bridge Street, Halstead CO9 1HU - CC/BTE/37/22/LB.
Halstead Library is situated within the Halstead Conservation Area.
The proposal may affect the setting of Halstead Library which is a Grade II Listed Building. The proposed development may not accord with the provision of the Braintree District Local Plan Review 2005 in force in the area which the land to which the application relates is situated.

(Long Green, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Long Green, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from the junctions with B1018 Roundabout for a distance of approximately 330m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th May 2022 for 2 nights (19:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2320392 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and ironwork replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Galley Roundabout, A120 J B1018 Roundabout, Cressing Road, Cressing Road Roundabout, Papley Road, Braintree Road, Witham Road, Polecat Road, The Street, Ashes Road, Long Green and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 5th May 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Head Street, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Head Street, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester Road to its junction with Colne Road a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th May 2022 for 1 night (19:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2312998 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and ironwork replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Colne Road, Fenn Road, Colchester Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 21st April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Trinity Street, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Trinity Street, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Chapel Hill to its junction with Bridge Street a distance of approximately 310m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th May 2022 for 1 night (19;00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2313896 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Mount Hill, Braintree Road, Bournebridge Hill, Pennypot Corner, Halstead Road, Gosfield Road, The Street, Hedingham Road, Halstead Road - A1124, Market Hill, High Street, Bridge Street and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 21st April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
