(Unclassified road 12.26, Tanfleld to Causey) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the Unclassified road 12.26 between its junctions with A6076 at Causey and Barcusclose Lane, Tanfield. (Local access will be permitted wherever possible when safe to do so at the site manager discretion) to enable carriageway patching prior to surface dressing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the north eastern side of the closure from A6076 southerly to Kip Hill then north westerly on C126 to Tanfield turning north on C127 towards Barcusclose Lane to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 16/5/22 from 7.30am to 3.30pm daily and are anticipated to be completed in 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
