(A44 Oxford To Woodstock Road) (Speed Limits) Order

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order relates to part of the North Oxford Corridor traffic development project, with the following effect. The previous consultation proposed a 40mph speed limit on the A44 from Pear Tree roundabout to a point 62 metres north of the A44 Cassington Road roundabout on both sides of the carriageway.
This new proposal further extends the 40mph speed limit
on the A44 Woodstock Road north of the A44 Cassington Road roundabout, replacing the existing 50mph speed limit - on the northbound carriageway for 189 metres, and on the southbound carriageway for 229 metres. The Oxfordshire County Council (A44 Oxford to Woodstock Road) (Speed Limits) Order 2016 will be revoked or further amended as appropriate.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 20 May 2022.
