Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Jubilee Ave, Penketh (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Jubilee Ave the section of carriageway fronting numbers 1 Jubilee Ave & 81 Meeting Ln. The Order will be effective from 22nd May 2022 for 1 day, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Jubilee Ave, Meeting Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for British Telecom to erect a new telephone pole. Ref: High/2329

Midland Way (Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure) Temporary Order 2022 The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving (between 7pm to Midnight, Monday to Sunday): Midland Way (both directions) from its jct. with Legh St to its jct. with Crosfield St; Footway Closure (24 hours, Monday to
Sunday): Midland Way (north side) from its jct. with Legh St to its jct. with Crosfield St. The Order will be effective from 9th May 2022 for 2 weeks, as & when signed on site. The alternative routes are: Midland Way (Prohibition of Driving)
via Cockhedge Roundabout, Brick St, Fennel St, Mersey St, Bridgefoot, A5061 Wilson Patten St, Parker St, Liverpool Rd, Sankey Green Roundabout, A57 Priestley St, Froghall Ln & vice versa; Midland Way (Footway Closure) Midland Way south side footway. The restrictions are required to facilitate highway improvement works including resurfacing the carriageway. Ref: High/2327

Penketh Footpath 15 (Footpath Closure) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure on Penketh Footpath 15 from its jct. with Farnworth Rd to its jct. with Widnes Rd. The Order will be effective from 10th May 2022 for 6 weeks, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Farnworth Rd, Widnes Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for essential emergency replacement works to the Widnes Trash Screen to be carried out. Ref: High/2326

Pipit Ln, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pipit Ln outside properties 25 to 27. The Order will be effective from 18th May 2022 for 2 weeks, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Curlew Gr & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for Electricity North West to carry out electrical connection work. Ref: High/2328

(Various Prohibitions, Restrictions & Suspensions in Town Centre) Temporary Order 2022

The effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions: -
1. Temporarily suspend the Notice/Orders specified in Column 1 of Schedule 1 to this Notice to the extent as detailed in Column 2 of the said Schedule.

2. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding on Winmarleigh St from making a left hand turn at its jct. with Sankey St. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

3. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle proceeding on Stanley St from making a right hand turn at its jct. with Barbauld St. Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

4. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Sankey St between a point approx. 8m east of its jct. with Legh St & Bold St, except for buses, taxis & for access.

5. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Barbauld St (between Stanley St & Wilson Patten St), in any direction other than a northerly direction (south to north). Pedal Cycles will be permitted.

6. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Bold St (between Sankey St & the gable end of No. 10 Bold St), in any direction other than a southerly direction (north to south).

7. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from waiting at any time on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

8. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from waiting for the purposes of loading & unloading at any time on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice.

9. To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from waiting for the purposes of loading & unloading between the hours of 8:15am to 9:15am & 4:30pm to 6pm, every day, on Winmarleigh St (West Side) between a point 58.3m south of its jct. with Sankey St & a point 14.4m north of its jct. with Hanover St.

The order will be effective from 5th May 2022 for a maximum period of 24 months & will be effective as & when indicated by traffic signs on site. This Order supersedes any contravening orders. The restrictions are required to safeguard pedestrians by promoting safer pedestrian accessibility with reduced traffic levels & allowing greater on-carriageway support for cyclists.

Schedule 40 - Waiting limited to 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday 8am to
6:30pm, no return within 1 hour: Sankey St (South Side) - Between a point 89m east of its jct. with Springfield St & a point 21.6m west of its jct. with Bold St.
Schedule 71 - No loading & unloading at any time: Sankey St (South Side)
- From a point 62.8m east of its jct. with Springfield St for a distance of 26.2m in an easterly direction.

Penketh Footpath No. 12 & 13 (Footpath Closures) Temporary Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce footpath closures as follows: Penketh Footpath No. 12 from its jct. with Station Rd to its jct. with Penketh Footpath 1; Penketh Footpath No. 13 from its jct. with Finlay Ave to its jct. with Penketh Footpath 12. The Order will be effective from 3rd May 2022 for 6 months, as & when signed on site. The alternative routes will be as follows: Penketh Footpath No. 12 via Trans Pennine Trail & vice versa; Penketh Footpath No. 13 via Finlay Ave, Ditchfield Rd, Chapel Rd, Well Ln, Hall Nook, Penketh Footpath 1 & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for the delivery of the Penketh Flood Risk Management Scheme. Ref: High/2324

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
