Temporary Road Closure Govan Road, Renfrew

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Renfrew in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:
Old Govan Road, Between Glasgow Road and Kings Inch Road.
Reason for Restriction: Carriageway Resurfacing.
vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Local and Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Routes: A8 Glasgow Road Southbound -A8 Glasgow Road/A8 Glasgow Road -A8 Renfrew Road Roundabout/Kings Inch Drive.
Old Govan Road West Bound - Kings Inch Road/ A8 Glasgow Road - A8 Renfrew Road Roundabout/ A8 Glasgow Road.
Kings Inch Road Southbound - Kings Inch Road/ A8 Glasgow Road - A8 Renfrew Road Roundabout/ A8 Glasgow Road.
Kings Inch Road Northbound - Kings Inch Road to Laymore Avenue Roundabout u turn and follow existing south bound diversion.
This order will be in force on Monday 2nd May 2022 till Sunday 15th May 2022. This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
