Notice of Extension

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State has approved the continuing in force of the above mentioned Order until the 1st December 2022, or until the completion of the works.
The Order is necessary as the route is used to facilitate the delivery of approved development for 108 dwellings. The PRoW is currently used as the primary access point for construction traffic, the width of the ProW is not sufficient to provide a safe and convenient pedestrian access route alongside access for construction.
An alternative route is available commencing from public footpath Westhoughton 118, point A at grid reference SD 69000 06622; St Helens Road; Hulton Lane; Calverleigh Close; Everbrom Road; public footpath Westhoughton 119; public footpath Westhoughton 115; then public footpath Westhoughton 116 to point B at grid reference SD 68712 06553. THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH BOLTON 370) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.63) ORDER 2022
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 3rd May 2022 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Bolton 370 commencing from a point off Freshfield Avenue point A at grid reference SD71103 06698 in a generally north then westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD70825 06488; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1 Bol370 over a total distance of approximately 510 metres.
An alternative route is available commencing from Freshfield Avenue, point A at grid reference Sd71103 06698; public footpath Bolton 369, public footpath Farnworth 016, Plodder Lane, Public Footpath Farnworth 015, Public Footpath Bol 371 to point B at grid reference SD70825 06488.
The Order is necessary to facilitate access to the construction site and replacement of existing culvert and will continue for 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. (Ref:SMW/085907)
