The Isle Of Wight Council (Various Streets, East Cowes) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in exercise of their powers under section 1(1), 2(1) (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended ('the Act' of 1984), part 4 of Schedule 9 to the act of 1984, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with The Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part 3 of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 propose to make an order the effect of which will be to:
1. To revoke the provisions of 'The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, East Cowes) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2021'.

2. To re-enact the provisions contained therein subject to the following amendments:

a To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking restriction in the following length of road: Albert Way, on both sides, from its junction with St Wilfred Drive to a point 9.5 metres north­east thereof.
Albert Way, on the north side, from its junction with Cromwell Avenue to a point 32 metres west thereof.
Albert Way, on the south side, from its junction with Cromwell Avenue to a point 35.5 metres west thereof.
Albert Way, on the west side, from its junction with Cromwell Avenue to a point 14 metres south thereof.
Albert Way, on the west side, from a point 70.5 metres south to a point 88 metres south of its junction with Cromwell Avenue.
Albert Way, on the east side, from a point 80 metres south to a point 89.5 metres south of its junction with Cromwell Avenue.
Albert Way, on the east side, from a point 5.5 meters south to a point 38 metres north and east of its junction with Haven Close.
Albert Way, on the east side from a point 47.5 metres north to a point 66.5 metres north of its junction with Haven Close.
Albert Way, on the north and west side, from its junction with Brinton Close to a point 31 metres north of its junction with Haven Close.
Albert Way, on the north and west side, from a point 56.5 metres north to a point 89.5 metres east of its junction with Haven Close.
Albert Way, on the west and south side, from a point 11.5 metres south of its junction with Gustar Grove to its junction with Brinton Close

Brinton Close, on the south side, from a point 44 metres west to a point 62.5 metres west of its junction with Albert Way.
Brinton Close, on the north side, from a point 70 metres west to a point 87 metres west of its junction with Albert Way.
Brinton Close, on the south side, from its junction with Albert Way to a point 9.5 metres west thereof. Chinchen Close, on both sides, from its junction with Cromwell Avenue, to a point 17.5 metres north-east thereof.
Chinchen Close, on both sides, from a point 105 metres north-east and east to the end of the public highway, to include the entire turning area.
Cromwell Avenue, on both side from its junction with St Wilfred Drive to a point 8 metres north thereof.
Cromwell Avenue, on the south-west side, from a point 81 metres east to a point 96.5 metres east of its junction with Naval Terrace.
Cromwell Avenue, on the south side, from its junction with Albert Way to a point 21.5 metres east thereof.
Cromwell Avenue, on the north side, from its junction with Albert Way to a point 25 metres east thereof.
Cromwell Avenue, on the south side, from a point 28 metres north-west to a point 40 metres north-west of its junction with Naval Terrace.

Naval Terrace on the west side, from its junction with Albert Way to a point 16.5 metres north thereof. Saunders Way, on the south-east side, from a point 66 metres south-west to a point 89 metres south-west of its junction with Whippingham Road.
Saunders Way, on the south-east side, from a point 38 metres south-west to a point 51.5 metres south-west of its junction with Beatrice Avenue.
Saunders Way, on the north-west side, from a point 34.5 metres south-west to a point 51 metres south-west of its junction with Beatrice Avenue.
Saunders Way, on both sides, from a point 35.5 metres west of its junction with Albert Way to its junction with Grace Woodford Drive.
Saunders Way, on the east side from its junction with Grace Woodford Drive to a point 99 metres north of its junction with Grace Woodford Drive.
Saunders Way, on the west side, from its junction with Grace Woodford Drive to a point 215 metres north of its junction with St Wilfred Drive.
Saunders Way, on the east side from its junction with St Wilfred Drive to a point 130 metres south thereof.

The amendments are being proposed to facilitate the passage on the road or any other road of any
class of traffic (including pedestrians) and for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the
road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
A copy of the draft Order, this Notice and the relevant plan may be inspected between normal
office hours at the Customer Service Centre, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight during the
objection period. If you wish to object to the proposal contained in this notice you should send
