Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)
The Waltham Forest (Various Roads) (Sewer Mains Repair Work) (Road Closures) (No. 1) Order 2022

1. The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 21" April 2022 it made an Order to allow for sewer main repair works to be carried out by Thames Water in a safe and efficient manner in the public footpath which lies between Chingford Avenue E4 and Heathcote Grove E4.

2. The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to:

(a) restrict pedestrians from using the footpath which lies between Chingford Avenue and Heathcote Grove;

(b) restrict vehicles from waiting and loading "at any time" in:

i. Retingham Way E4 - both sides of the east to west arm - all that arm excluding the disabled parking bay (section to the rear of Nos. 17 and 33); and

ii. Chingford Avenue E4 - both sides - between the eastern kerb line of Retingham Way eastwards for a distance of 70 metres.

3. Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of this Order would be removed.

4. Where appropriate, alternative routes for pedestrians would be indicated by local signage.

5. The prohibitions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any personnel or vehicles being used -

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow)

6. The Order will come into operation on 21" April 2022 for a period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
