(Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers and in consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police has made the above Order. The effect is to revoke all permanent speed limit Orders and reintroduce the provisions of those Orders in a Consolidated form using maps to define their extents. The above Order does not make any changes or introduce any new restrictions to the existing speed restrictions. The Order will be operative as of 1 May 2022 and a copy of the Order may be viewed on

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 20 April 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
