Hook Road (B284) Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hook Road (B284) Epsom as extends from its junction with (D2266) Longmead Road to its junction with (C195) Chase Road. Alternative Route - Chase Road; Temple Road; Lower Court Road; and Hook Road or this same route in reverse. This Order, which will commence on 09 May 2022 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway surfacing and/or major highway maintenance works. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Various Roads in Epsom Downs and Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
On 20 April 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: a) That length of Upland Way, Epsom Downs that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of "No. 28 Upland Way", to the north-western property boundary of "No. 26 Upland Way". Works are anticipated to be carried out on 25/04/22. The vehicular diversion route will be via Upland Way. b) That length of D1022 Shawley Crescent, Epsom Downs that extends from the north-western property boundary of "No.22 Shawley Crescent", to the northeastern property boundary of "No.28 Shawley Crescent". Works are anticipated to be carried out on 25/04/22. The vehicular diversion route will be via Shawley Crescent, Great Tattenhams, Shawley Way and Shawley Crescent. c) The entire length of D2082 Church Street, Ewell. Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm on 26/04/22. The vehicular diversion route will be via Church Street, London Road, Ewell High Street and Church Street. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out poling and/or cabling and/or ducting and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 April 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses will be maintained to the point of closure via the vehicular diversion routes described.
