(Wolsingham Road, Brancepeth) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 20/4/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 4000 metre length of Wolsingham Road, Brancepeth, from the junction with Morley Lane to the junction at High Wooley to enable Durham County Council patching prior to surface dressing works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic from the south side of the closure, via the A690 south, then west along Stockley Lane, north on the B6299, and east on Wolsingham road, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 25/4/22 from 7.30am and are anticipated to be completed in 6 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
