Notice Publishing a Statement of Community Consultation

Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire Railfreight Limited (the "Applicant") proposes to apply to the Secretary of State (via the Planning Inspectorate) under Section 37 of the Planning Act 2008 for a development consent order to authorise the construction, operation, use and maintenance of a new rail freight interchange, warehousing, highway improvements and associated infrastructure on land south of the Chiltern Railway line, and west of the B430, east of Upper Heyford Former Airfield, and south of the village of Ardley in Cherwell District, Oxfordshire (the "Application").
The Application is considered to require an Environmental Impact Assessment and therefore the Application will be accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
As part of the proposals, the Applicant has a duty to consult the local community pursuant to Section 47 of the Planning Act 2008. The Applicant has produced a Statement of Community Consultation ("SoCC") for this purpose. The SoCC sets out the details of how the Applicant proposes to consult the people living in the vicinity of the land about the Application.
The purpose of this Notice is to inform interested persons and members of the local community that the SoCC can be inspected free of charge on the Applicant's website at:

The SoCC will also be available to view free of charge in hard copy in the following locations from Thursday 21 April 2022:

The SoCC sets out how the Applicant intends to publicise and consult on the proposals over the coming weeks and months, which will include various draft documents including a working draft of the Preliminary Environmental Information which will inform the final Environmental Statement.
